Speeding Operations

Over the past week we have conducted a number of speeding operations in and around Thorne and Moorends following speeding concerns from residents who attended our regular community engagement meetings.

We take speeding concerns seriously and when time allows, focus on those areas alongside attending our regular hotspots.

On Marshland Road in Moorends 38 vehicles were monitored, none were contravening the 30mph speed limit.

On Haynes Road in Thorne a further 41 vehicles were monitored, 2 drivers were dealt with for contravening the 20mph speed limit.

On Kirton Lane in Thorne 32 vehicles were monitored, 1 driver dealt with for contravening the 40mph speed limit. 

We will continue conducting regular speed checks in and around the East of Doncaster and ask that you continue to report your speeding concerns to us. 

These operations will continue to take place at all time of the day including early morning and into the evening, you will see us in your area very soon.
